Why Are Cryochaps Less Likely to Slip?

Cryochaps Ice Boots for Horses

There’s nothing more annoying than boots, bandages and saddle pads that slip! That’s why we’ve designed our Cryochaps ice boots to stay in place with a neoprene compression sleeve.

Unlike any other ice boot on the market, Cryochaps incorporate a sleeve made from stretch neoprene that wraps around the ice sleeve, creating compression. Compression is an important element of icing after exercise or injury, because it helps to reduce swelling, which in turn helps to reduce pain and accelerates the recovery process.

The sleeve also helps the ice boot mould to the horse’s leg, and the Velcro straps help to provide a secure fit.

Care should be taken when using Cryochaps ice boots, especially if your horse is not used to them. You should aim to introduce them slowly and under careful supervision. Should your horse kick out or move their leg suddenly, this could damage the Cryochaps.
